This years Australian tri-series the Commonwealth Bank series shall be the last three nation tournament down under. With the Sharjah Champions Trophy long gone and Twenty20 tournaments with as many teams to crowd the calender, this years Commonwealth Bank Series shall be the last of those great cricket summers.
This years competition with the best of the One-day squads in the international scene featuring the host and world champs Australia with world cup runner-up Sri Lanka and twenty20 champ asian powerhouse India. Possible the best finale to the Word Series as it used to be known.
This is only the sixth series featuring India. India has entered the final in most of its series down under but never won the best of three finals, unique to cricket. India did win the 1987 World Championship.
Benson & Hedges World Series with its coloured clothings and lush green outfields shall always live in the heart of true Indian cricket fans all around the world.
